We learn in school that Columbus discovered America in 1492. However, there were populations of American Indians here for the past 12-15,000 years. Everyone knows this. The ethical issues surrounding the decimation of these populations are not as well known. Addressing some of these issues will be Dr. Carol Diaz-Granádos, Research Associate in the Department of Anthropology, Washington University, and Jim Duncan, former Director of the Missouri State Museum and Exhibits Director for the Missouri Department of Conservation.
