Dr. Mo continues to discuss Philippians 3:10 and adds to the focus John 19:30 for today’s episode. She focuses on the three infamous words uttered by Jesus “it is finished.” Dr. Mo links this saying of Jesus back to the neuroscience and Philippians 3:10 as she thinks about how our bodies must finish the trauma response when it is started.
Dr. Mo discusses how our bodies are already created with the universal response needed to bring them to safety and growth after trauma experiences. We continue to delve into the data from Dr. Aimee's book "The Biology of Trauma", as we walk through the essential sequence needed to begin the healing work: safety, support, and expansion. Today we discuss how to think about our bodies' need for safety before the healing work begins.
