“It is finished.”
Three words that changed everything.

In Week 6 of our Last Words of Jesus series, we lean into John 19:30 and discover that Jesus’ final declaration wasn’t a cry of defeat—it was a shout of victory. The work is done. The price is paid. Freedom is available.

Here’s what that means for us today:

1. Jesus completed His assignment.
Every prophecy. Every step of obedience. Every moment leading to the cross. From what He declared in John 4 to His prayer in John 17, Jesus faithfully finished what the Father sent Him to do.

2. Jesus paid OUR debt.
No more striving. No more trying to earn what’s already been given. Because of the cross, grace is fully available—your sin, your past, your shame… paid in full.

3. Jesus has set us free.
You don’t have to keep carrying what Jesus already conquered. Some of us need to boldly declare “it is finished” over fear, addiction, guilt, and anything holding us back from the life Jesus offers.

We closed with a powerful response time, lifting up the name of Jesus and surrendering to what He has already finished on our behalf.
