It is God the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit who has given us the gift of salvation.  God has begun this good work in us, and we are confident that he will continue it until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to take us to our heavenly home.  We are to work out the salvation that God is working within us, becoming more like Christ each day.  (Read Phil. 1,2).
