A sermon for the Last Sunday after the Epiphany, February 27, 2022, at the Church of the Messiah in Heflin, AL.
Principal Text: Luke 9:28-43a
"The Transfiguration also reveals one of the purposes of Christian community. We come together to pray, to seek those “thin places” where we are closer to God and each other. But we as the Church are not called to stay forever in these moments, instead, they offer strength and support so we can return to the world to do the work of resisting evil and bringing healing to the world."
