God is the author of all that is good. In fact, God's beautiful, miraculous work of creation is summed up with these words, "God saw all that he had made, and it was very good" (Genesis 1:31). Now, that's good news. But there's more good news. All who belong to God may now call on God's Word. "Do good to your servant according to your word, O LORD" (Psalm 119:65).

The fact that God's Word is good is why there can be such a plea. Thank God. The 9th octave in Psalm 119 begins with a blessed request in v. 65. Then, it ends with this good proclamation, "The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver or gold" (Psalm 119:72). This section of Psalm 119 begins with a humble request and ends with a miraculous reality open to anyone willing to bow.
