We are all created to fly. To live by the incredible potential that we have all been invested with. But often we sit on our branches clinging to the things that are familiar to us. Remaining stuck to our comfort zone. Not willing to venture out. Not willing to take risk. The possibilities are endless but most of us, they remain undiscovered because we continue to conform to the familiar, to the comfortable, to the mundane .So for the most part, our lives are mediocre instead of exciting, thrilling and fulfilling. What is the branch that is holding you back from flying high? What is the fear that is stopping you from taking a risk? What is the weakness that is inhibiting your growth. Unless we cut off the branches we are clinging to and free ourselves, we can never take off and reach newer heights in our life. What are you waiting for? Cut off the branch and take your flight. Sometimes we refer to this concepts as crucial versus critical, a variation of the same thing. If we don't learn to differentiate between these two forces in our life, we will forever keep meandering back into the comfort zone. You know you are in comfort zone when the urgent has overtaken the important and critical issues of your life. You could be waking yourself to the bone everyday, be insanely busy and be driven by what you do and still be caught in the web of urgent requirements. You will only realise this years later when the important things have been ignored long enough and which by then would be too late to do anything about. The comfort zone dulls your senses and lulls you into a false sense of security. We are all just 2 minutes from the abyss all the times. I keep reminding myself that the abyss is usually right next to me. Not seeing it, not feeling it, not sensing it is our biggest danger. And this is the the comfort zone.
