John Howell is joined by Dr. Benjamin Bryner, Associate Director of Heart Transplantation and Mechanical Support, as well as the Director of the Expanded Donation Program at Northwestern Medicine’s Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute. Dr. Bryner shares what exactly a  “heart in a box” is, how transplants work in general, and where this program goes from here.
