This Sunday, we will explore Matthew 20, where the mother of James and John asks Jesus for special positions for her sons in His kingdom. Jesus explains that such positions are not for Him to grant and asks if they are ready to endure suffering, which they affirm.

The other disciples become upset, and Jesus teaches that greatness in His kingdom comes from serving others, not from seeking power. He emphasizes that He came to serve, not to be served.
