It was a starry night
when we first kissed
and your lips graced me
with everything I’d missed.

I even picked out the
brightest star above
from the millions of others
floating in deep space
taking note of its place
so I would never forget
how our love began
so warm and wet ‘

and I was floating too
much higher then all the stars

in a beam of sunlight
just another huge star
that helped to warm our lives
