Fast italian in a day has been great fun to listen to and a realy great help as well.

Although I'm Dutch I choose for this English-Italian book because it gave me the best of both.

I do speak some Italian and this course is so well organized and practical, I could use all those words and sentences without any problem when I visited italy.

It's very easy to learn and it gives you all you need for a short stay in Italy.

I hope she will do a course like this for more advanced Italian, I would most certainly buy that one as well!

Very useful content

I've had to listen to it several times to pick up a decent amount of the content, one run through definitely wasn't enough for me to remember everything, so not really Italian in an hour. On that basis the chatting / jokes get a bit irritating after the first time you hear them, but the set up is otherwise fine. Very useful phrases and content for a short trip / holiday.

Essential Starter!

Would you listen to Italian in a Day again? Why?

This audio book gave me the start I needed for my holiday. It is well out together and easy to follow. I am useless at languages but managed to memorize the words using Elisabeth Smith's method. I now have confidence to order food and drink, ask directions and make polite (if somewhat limited) conversation.It works!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Andy Johnson the student learning the language. He was not good at languages but picked it up just like me.

What about Elisabeth Smiths performance did you like?

Elisabeth makes it easy and fun and she knows what is needed when starting out. The course is all about getting the foundation to converse. No serious grammar to scare you. She has a sense of humour too.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did, but kept returning to it time after time.
