ITC: 39 - Reviewing the Book: Reach Everyone, Teach Everyone

Listen Later

According to Thomas Tobin and Kirsten Behling, Universal Design for Learning is about one thing, creating access for learners.

By focusing on access, everyone in your class benefits. Individuals with disabilities benefit, mobile learners benefit, even those who are trying to learn in the margins of work, family, and play.

In this episode, I am going to review the book Reach Everyone, Teach Everyone by Thomas Tobin and Kirsten Behling. The authors outlined three interconnected tasks they wanted to achieve.

  • Reframe how UDL is perceived.
  • Outline strategies for implementing UDL principles in courses.
  • Share strategies for implementing UDL across the campus.
