Christ's Gospel and those who proclaim it may be popular at times, but popularity is never the goal. If a church makes "being popular" its central focus, that church might have lost perspective on the focus of the faith: Christ. Jesus and his gospel, found in Word and Sacrament, is our cornerstone.
