Here’s the Ithaca Minute from 14850 Today.

President Shirley Collado, named to lead Ithaca College last year, faced an accusation of sexual assault nearly 20 years ago. The college’s board of trustees has expressed its full support after the matter was raised this week by a student publication at IC. The issue had come up a year ago when Dr. Collado was introduced to the campus, as well as during the College’s presidential search process.

According to The Ithacan, Dr. Collado “was accused of sexually abusing a female patient in 2000 and was convicted of sexual abuse” after pleading nolo contendere — no contest — to the charges.

The Tompkins County Sheriff is asking for help identifying a man in a security video from a bank robbery at the CFCU Community Credit Union on Wednesday afternoon. A release from the Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded at about 4:32pm to the Lansing branch of CFCU.

A statement says CFCU employees and witnesses told them a black male, about six feet tall, “entered the credit union, approached employees, displayed a handgun, and demanded money.”
