Here’s the Ithaca Minute from 14850 Today for February 16th.
Cornell Police and Ithaca Police are investigating a trio of incidents that could be related, involving indecent exposure and groping. Police notified the Cornell community Thursday of an early morning incident in which a man entered a bathroom and exposed himself to a female student who was showering.
Ithaca Police announced Thursday night they were investigating a pair of “possibly related” incidents that occurred in the city. At about 7:20pm, police responded to a report of a man walking up behind a woman and forcibly grabbing “intimate parts of her body” in the area of Cascadilla Street and North Geneva Street. The woman yelled for help, and “other pedestrians in the area” came to her assistance, but the suspect fled southbound. Almost 20 minutes later, police responded to an incident in the 400 block of North Tioga Street in which a man had “exposed his genitals” to a female pedestrian.
Victims all described a white man about 5 foot 8, and police ask anyone with information about any of the cases to get in touch.
The Maguire Family of Dealerships announced Thursday that the company has acquired Honda of Ithaca. The purchase adds a 19th brand to the large chain of car dealers.
And Cornell men’s ice hockey has their final home games of the regular season this weekend, against Brown on Friday and Yale on Saturday, with a senior night ceremony following Saturday’s game.
