Here’s the Ithaca Minute for October 4th!
Fall is the time to celebrate a bountiful harvest, and this week the P&C Fresh supermarket on Ithaca’s east hill is celebrating with a couple dozen special guests, including local farms, beverage and dairy producers.
This Thursday, October 5th, the family-owned store has a one-day sale with unusual discounts, and from 4-7 Thursday afternoon, they’ll have food sampling, beer sampling, live entertainment, K-9 dogs from the Cornell University Police Departments, and representatives from Cops, Kids & Toys accepting new, unwrapped toys for the upcoming holiday season.
And we reported this week that City of Ithaca crews are paving a portion of Stone Quarry Road. Assistant superintendent of public works Ray Benjamin says the project is now projected to end October 13th, next Friday. He says the road will be closed to through traffic, and residents who live above the railroad crossing should come in from the top.
