Ryan and Clinton officially wrap up spring season with the defending national runners up, talking the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. To help the guys break down ND, they welcome back Jack Soble from Blue and Gold Illustrated on the On3 network to the show.
ND's three-man QB battle self-reduced to two in late April, with returning No. 2 man Steve Angeli heading to Syracuse via the portal. Where do things stand between redshirt sophomore Kenny Minchey and hyped redshirt freshman CJ Carr heading into summer? Whoever wins the job will be protected by an OL that blossomed from a unit that walked into College Station to begin 2024 with 6 combined starts, to what could be the best unit in the country in 2025; and will hand the ball off to all-everything back Jeremiyah Love (plus a host of blue chippers behind him). But with the QB run seemingly being less of a play in 2025, how will a once-again re-vamped receiver room shoulder the load?
On defense, the Irish got a taste of life after Benjamin Morrison due to his early October injury -- which saw the emergence of freshman All-American CB Leonard Moore. But how will the Irish replace former Defensive Player of the Year Xavier Watts at safety? In the front 7, the Irish must replace 4th round pick Jack Kiser at LB, as well as former All-American DTs Rylie Mills and Howard Cross, but will get a boon from a return to health for rush ends Jordan Botelho and Boubacar Traore ... who are some other names to know?
