OK…let’s be honest. Parenting is hard! By and large, kids have plenty of energy, are always on the move, are involved in tons of extracurricular activities that keep us moving in different directions and they are either constantly craving our attention…or they don’t want anything to do with us. And oh…don’t forget, they are really expensive too! And it doesn’t really matter how old your kids are – whether they are little ones, elementary aged, teenagers, out of the house…or even if they have kids of their own – each stage comes with its own unique challenges! Now…that doesn’t mean we don’t love them...and doesn’t mean that we’d change anything about them – it’s just that we admit…it’s sometimes a struggle. And when you throw on top of everything that parents have the added responsibility of showing their children who God is, how he operates and what he desires from their life…and it can be real overwhelming real quick. But we aren’t alone – God has given us a road-map for parenting (and for supporting parents).
