Jonny Hirschmugl is a local (and beloved) Petaluma artist who was at the start of relaunching his art business in a big way when the COVID shelter-in-place was implemented. After taking a step back (and a few deep breaths) throughout the shutdown, he is now navigating that delicate balance between the promotion of his craft (read: making a living) and honoring the emotions and actions of a community that is still very much in the depths of recovering from the trauma of a complete halt of life as we knew it.
