Marriage is not a trap and it’s also not fulfillment. Whether we are married or not, Jesus’ vow to his bride the church, his covenant, makes space for us to be transformed into the type of people who trust, who can be vulnerable, and who can actually love. In Jesus we see what covenant faithfulness truly is, we behold true integrity, true fidelity; even while we were sinners Christ died for us.

Whether you’re married or not God is forming us to be people of love. The covenant of marriage happens to be just one space that God refines us.
