After President Donald Trump immediately tied the NYC terrorist attack to immigration policy, a reporter pointed out his double standard, and White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders tried to do some damage control. The administration said that people shouldn’t immediately use the Las Vegas shooting as an argument for gun control but seems to think it’s fine to use terrorism to advocate for more stringent background checks for immigrants. Doc analyzes the reporter’s point and Sanders’ response – because hypocrisy from both sides should always be called out.
