A veteran of the Viet Nam War, Barry discusses why he volunteered for service and how this is similar to the motivations of Jewish young people who make Aliyah to serve in the Israeli Defence Force (IDF).  Indeed, Jewish families make Aliyah to Israel because it is a place where they will be defended and protected.  Barry often encourages young Jewish people among the nations to make Aliyah, saying, “You need Israel but Israel also needs you.”  Tune in to learn more about this interesting aspect of the return of the Jewish people to Israel.
