In Part 22 of our "True Story" series, Paul takes a look at the Parable of the Sower in Luke 8:1-15 and shows us that, when it comes to our growth, the lack of it is a warning sign that something is has gone wrong. In a culture that is quick to shift the blame to others - if the preacher was better, or my boss wasn't so hard, or my marriage was more fulfilling - Jesus told a parable that clearly taught about the power of the word to grow when the soil of our heart is receptive to it. Lack of growth isn't a seed problem or a sower problem; it's a soil problem. The good news is that when we guard our hearts, hard, rocky and thorny soil can become good soil again!
