Jes examines the paradox of choice, and how it relates to dealing with our clutter.
We may think that having choices means having the freedom and more independence in decision-making. However, the reality is that having too many choices is overwhelming and can lead to feeling paralyzed by the act of decision-making. It's called decision-making fatigue.
The result is it becomes way more difficult to make bigger decisions, such as tackling the clutter in our home. How can we make really big decisions when we're zapping our decision-making energy on multiple small decisions every day?! Think about how many times in your day you're overwhelmed by what to wear, what to eat, and which shampoo to buy.
When we reduce the number of choices we have to make in our daily lives, it's empowering. We get time and energy back.
Jes shares some great tips on how you can start to reduce the choices you have to make every single day so that you can focus on the bigger decisions that will have more impact on your life.
