Holy Week - an emotional tumult for Christians when we confront humanities' (our) role in killing an innocent man, mourn a loss, and in the end rejoice in the kept promise and future promise of salvation.
In this episode, I expound on an idea that struck me during the reading of the Passion of Christ. How we can have more empathy for loved one choosing hospice.
TLDR, no one was ready for Jesus to ACTUALLY die; and we treat our own loved ones with terminal illness similarly. It's scary, and lonely, and they deserve better.
When is Hospice the right choice? Is Hospice quitting? Is it wrong to want Hospice instead of treatment? and other palliative care concerns. How do I tell my family I'm dying?
The answers may not be here, but there are considerations for everyone Christian and non-Christian about what it means to stand beside someone to the point of death.
