The year 2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, but for many people the events leading up to the Reformation are a mystery – almost as if Martin Luther simply nailed his 95 theses on the church door in Wittenberg and the modern Catholic and Protestant Churches we know sprung into existence. But as with most things; reality is much more complex. Luckily we’re joined today by Fr. Michael Kavanaugh, Pastor of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on Wilmington island, and Director of Ecumenism for the Diocese of Savannah and he's going to shed some light on the background of the Reformation for us.
