Last week, legislation action was taken to invest into police trainings, banning chokeholds and a national system to track police misconduct. The voices on the street are not pushing for investment but for change, for a system to be redesigned. A system that was built on oppression is not a system we need in our country, in our community nor for our people. People are demanding change, they want it, not only that but black lives need this system and many others that fail them, to change.
