God anoints two kings of Israel even after saying He didn't want Israel to have any other king but Him. Why does God allow for something He doesn't want? And even though David was anointed king, he wouldn't become king in the eyes of the people for another 40 years. What do we do in the messy middle in-between God's promises and their fulfillment?
