Back in the early days of television there was a program called “The Millionaire.” The premise of the show was that there was a millionaire, who we never really met, who wanted to give away a million dollars to a worthy person.

The show unfolded, with the Millionaire's assistant trying to tack down just such a worthy person, and then through many twists and turns it concluded with that person finally receiving the money.

The plots were often complex, with often a surprise ending.

It was a difficult job for the millionaire's assistant, and it was riveting television.
