Vroom vroom, baby. Our main topic of conversation was why smart people believe in conspiracy theories, which consisted of speaking about two articles in Psychology Today. The influence of social media is fueling conspiracy theories and gaining in popularity mainstream, which is a problem. The problem started in the 19th century when we as a society switched over from print to pictures in how we obtain the news. The conspiracy theories we discussed included Hillary Clinton's Pizza Gate, and 5G contributing to the spread of COVID. We discussed the movies Zoolander, and Hard Rain with Christian Slater and Morgan Freeman. Nikki recommends Emily in Paris for a lighthearted show.
