Between 2001-2006 an alarming number of women went missing from the streets of Albuquerque, New Mexico. There were at least 16 women estimated to have gone missing.

In 2009, the remains of 11 women and 1 unborn child were found on the mesa to the west of the city limits. No arrests have ever been made, It is the largest unsolved murder case in New Mexico.
