Whatever you want in life requires some kind of action to take, and when you make that decision to commit to that action you want to see results, payout, reward. Sometimes we get so caught up in the outcome and achievement that the process becomes an aggrevation, a bother, if we're not seeing the results fast enough!
We, as a society in the US, are constantly racing and rushing from one thing to the next.
What are you rushing to?
Over the past year as I worked on regulating my nervous system, feeling OK with the unknown, and getting clear on what I really wanted my world to look like I noticed this reoccurring feeling that I was behind and not moving fast enough. I wasn't getting 'immediate' results and it was adding to my level of frustration and disappointment.
These feelings will come in and either knock me down (put me in a paralysis mode) or revert me and send me off in a different direction (aka giving up on my original goal/intention).
Remember you are not your thoughts...so when this voice inside your head comes in and says 'you're not doing enough' it will be best to sit with it and maybe begin to get curious where it is coming from.
There's always a story, that's where beliefs are formed from, and your story has been written up until this moment in time but you are the writer and you get to decide where it (you) goes next.
Your body may be sending you signs (and symptoms) that it's time to slow down and rest but you continue to ignore it. The restless sleep, the moodiness, the IBS symptoms or other gut issues, the low libido, the brain fog--it's all telling you something is missing. You're body is not performing at an optimal level and as humans who want optimization, the one thing that would change you could be the one thing you continue to put off.
