More times than not, we see desperation as a weakness, like that guy who is so desperate to have a girlfriend that he's clingy and needy. Admittedly, none of us want to be THAT guy, and so when we find ourselves in desperate situations, we try to cover it up by putting on a happy face or acting tougher than we feel. But in Luke 8:40-56, we encounter a desperate man and a desperate woman who allowed their desperation to drive them to Jesus, and they met the Savior of desperate people. We can learn a lot from how they allowed desperate times to call for divine measure.
