Lately I’ve been reflecting on what it was that drew me to yoga in the first place? What was it that captivated me? What has kept me so driven to continue down this path and daily practice? The answer, true for me then and now, is the feeling and experience of connection. Connection is what drew me, why I stayed, and why I continue. But connection to what exactly? And the answer to this question is at the very heart of why I kept taking classes, and why I continue to carve out space for connection on my mat. From my first encounters with yoga, I was discovering and finding a connection to Me. To my Inner Voice. And those first words and whispers where the encouragement that, "It's Okay."
