It's funny how our language changes, to adjust to the changes in our society. For instance, we now refer to the 40 hours a week we get paid for, as our “work” or our “job.”

But there was a time, not too long ago, that we referred to this as our “Livelihood.” And when you put it that way, it takes on a whole new meaning.

Now its fairly easy to see how this word: livelihood, came about. Back when we lived in an agrarian society, its easy to see how your work, lead directly to providing the food you needed to survive. Literally your “job” was the way you got to eat.
