Today I learned that it’s pointless to pursue two careers at the same time. This whole semester I’ve been one foot in one foot out. I’d do my homework and kinda study but I would only do enough to were I felt comfortable enough to make music. That shit has been to my detriment this entire semester. Unlike previous semesters I’ve done fairly well but this has to be my most horrible. My discipline and determination has been split into two. This then made it easy for me to be foggy on both my school shit and my music shit. Looking back on it this was one of the reasons I wasn’t successful with college on my first tries. I was always involved in either music or some business which gave me the excuse to neglect my studies. Moving forward what I’ll do now is be a student during the semester and then make music during the summer and winter breaks. I’m not getting anywhere in my music by starting and stopping in the middle of the semester. I’m not getting anywhere in my studies by doing the bare minimum only to just fail the class and have to retake it.
