The early Christians knew what to do when trouble came their way. When the nation threatened their testimony of Christ in them, they gathered together to pray. And listen to what they said in Acts chapter 4, beginning at verse 29, “Now Lord look on their threats, and grant to your servants that with all boldness they may speak your word. By stretching out your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”
You and I are not called to draw back in this time of difficulty. We are called to stretch out our hands, believing that God’s power will begin to flow through our lives to bring healing to hopeless situations. They knew it was time to pray. And I am calling you today, because for you and I, it’s time again to pray!
