Jesus Christ, in Matthew 5:14, revealed to us our position here on earth as children of God. We are the light of the world, that is to say, we are to become an example to the world, it also means we are to pave the way for the world to follow.

 Though; that is to say, we are to become an example to the world, which is our position as kingdom citizens. Yet what we see today is the opposite of what Jesus said. instead of being an example to the world, the word has rather become an example to us. Instead of paving the way for the world to follow, the world is paving the way. Instead of being an example to the world, what we see today is the opposite of what Jesus revealed to us about our identity. 

So the question is, how do we become light to our generation?
