It's Time to Stop Being a Broken Record!

Listen Later

If you know anything about Vinyl records, they are easily scratched and attract dust which can cause them to “skip” or “repeat” while you’re trying to play your favorite song. That signature skipping sound from the locked groove created the expression "broken record" and now refers to someone who continually repeats the same thing over and over again.

Many times we become just like broken records. We keep repeating the same patterns over and over and over again. We keep dating the same types of people that we don’t really align with.  We attract the same crappy friendships that leave us feeling empty, hurt, or betrayed. We keep losing that same 5 to 10 lbs over and over again.  We complain about our ass of a boss EVERY SINGLE DAY! We get up and dread going to our job day in and day out.

But...do we do anything about it?  Generally, most of us don’t.  We get into a pattern of perpetually complaining about our unfulfilling life situations like a broken record.
