This is Carter Conlon, speaking to you today from 2 Timothy chapter 2 beginning at verse 14, “Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.”
American public discourse has become vain and empty. As Isaiah the prophet once said, “Truth is fallen into the street.” Perhaps as never before in our history, voices of balance, reason, and truth are in desperate demand. It’s time for those of us who know God to also know and convincingly speak His Word. The hour is dark. The time is short. It’s time to study the Word of God.
It’s time to pray!
