Over the course of 30 years, Dr. Doug Weiss, professional psychologist and owner of Heart to Heart Counseling Center, has been helping individuals and couples who have been dealing with issues like sex addiction, intimacy anorexia, and infidelity. In this video, he discusses on what to do if one is falsely accused of cheating.
Being accused of cheating (when it’s not true) can be one of the most detrimental things that can happen to you in your marriage. Whether it’s due to lack of intimacy, lack of time together, unfamiliar contacts, unaccountable time or money, something you did or said, your spouse feels like something is going on and trying to figure out what. The idea of infidelity, no matter how disconcerting that thought is, comes to their mind. How do you affirm to your spouse otherwise?
Dr. Weiss reveals a solution on how to prove your faithfulness. One that will cost some money, but has the validity to back it up and tends to work a lot.
Even when you prove that you didn’t cheat, it doesn’t dismiss the fact that something’s going on in the marriage if your spouse is accusing you of cheating. We recommend counseling to better understand and address whatever issues there are and to strengthen the marriage on both sides.
