A researcher, but also a professor, Boneca sets out to expose the secrets the cell wall conceals. Besides his work in the lab, where he tackles specific interactions potentially linked to antibiotic resistance, this interview touches on his path, from his PhD in Portugal to setting up a lab in France, as well as his motivation to pursue Biology, leaving Chemistry behind.
