English is English, right? Which English?

Since language and culture are so intertwined, English can bring different meanings from different countries.

I speak with interpreter Brett Best who moved from the US to the UK. Her experiences give us insight into our profession by comparing the two journeys she took to be a working interpreter in each of these English-speaking countries.

In the next episodes she will give us an in-depth look at these journeys and the situation as it is now. As the chat continues, we'll get a peek at her research and how we can benefit in the field.
