In the latest episode of The IWD406 Podcast, our guest is Amber Michelle:
Amber moved to Montana 10 years ago with her husband and 3 beautiful children. She graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a BS in Psychology in 2008. She worked in the social services field for a few years and provided emergency foster shelter for 23 children before moving to Montana. Amber had 2 goals when I made the decision to move: to spend more quality time with my kids and move away from an emotionally taxing career and to strengthen her marriage. The marriage didn't work out and things got messy. She found herself falling into a pattern she swore she never would do, an ugly custody battle. Then Amber was handed a script for a movie that was similar to her situation and it changed the trajectory. She took the role of Shelly and it helped her change her way of thinking and Amber has since created a harmonious life for her family. In addition, it sent her on a new career path, ACTING! Amber is inspired to do more roles that help create awareness around social injustice.
BONUS INTERVIEW with Alex Athy, Director and Writer for sHELLy. A special thank you to Alex Athy and additional insight into the making of the film and his perspective on co-parenting.
