There truly are no shortages of headsets to choose from. You have many different brands, and choices within those brands. And, when you add all those choices up, it can be mind boggling. Especially if you're in the market for new headsets, and doing some good old fashioned online research.
This episode is about one of those headsets, from one manufacturer, specicially Jabra, and the Evolve2 65, and why you'd consider this model. So here are 8 things for you to ponder.
#1 Sound Quality. We all know that how you sound to others, and what they hear, or don't hear in your background are two very important things. The Jabra Evolve2 65 does an excellent job at both of these things. So if you want to sound professional, consistently, and not have the noise going on around you heard by your callers, then this is a headset for you.
#2 Remote call answering. The Evolve2 65 is optimized for use with several UC platforms which among other things, gives you the ability to take and end a call when away from your desk. That feature sure beats missing important calls, and listening to all those voice messages. Not to mention returning all those phone calls, which by the way will probably land in their voicemail box as well.
#3 Battery Life. Hey, this is a wireless headset right? So, how long you can talk or listen is important. The good news is with this headset, you get a lot of talk time, and by a lot I mean 37 hours. Which by any headset standard, that's a chunky amount of talking, listening, and just carrying on. The battery recharges in a short 90 minutes, and you get 8 hours of battery life with the headset only being on the charger for 15 minutes.
#4 Ear speakers. The Evolve2 65 comes with 40mm leak tolerant ear speakers and a new chipset that enhances sound quality. Although these ear speakers may not challenge Bose anytime soon, for a business grade headset, they're awesome.
$5 Busy light. Not all are created equal. Some can be seen from certain angles, but the ones on the Evolve2 65 can be seen from any angle. This means fewer interruptions, and better productivity.
#6 Passive noise cancellation. Though Active Noise Cancellation doesn't come with the Evolve2 65, it gives the next best thing; a unique design that's purpose built to reduce room noise.
#7 UC/Teams variants. If you use Micsosoft Teams exclusively, pick the Teams version. If you don't, then the UC model would be best. In either case, you have the choice. And with the Teams version you have several feature enhancements to make using it, very convenient.
#8 Software. The Evolve2 65 can be used in tandem with the Jabra Direct software for a multitude of things such as bug fixes, firmware updates, feature modifications, customizations and more.
If you're in the market for headsets, and you need them to connect to computers and mobile devices, this is a headset you really need to consider.
