Jacinda Ardern says cheaper doctor visits will still happen this term.
Health Minister David Clark has said the cost of New Zealand First and Green policies mean the policy of making GP visits 10-dollars cheaper will have to be delayed.
The Prime Minister concedes doing it all at once is proving difficult, but there'll be an announcement about it in the Budget.
She told Mike Hosking there's a lot of competing interests in the health sector that have to be funded.
"Getting DHB's out of their hole, making sure our hospitals are fit for service, making sure nurses have a safe working environment. The public want us to do all these and not bleed the bank, and what absolutely is what good government is about."
