Jack Dangermond invented GIS mapping and co-founded Esri to enable better understanding of environmental science and how the environment interacts with the human population. Esri is now bringing GIS data into BIM, and vice versa, thanks to ArcGIS GeoBIM, a new technology platform that lets engineers and architects better understand both sets of data in context.
