An amazing meeting this week with Pip and Michael, a man whose experience and knowledge will come shining through immediately upon listening. As a founder of Stonewall (with Ian McKellen), ex-member of European Parliament, activist and former actor (those of us who grew up on Eastenders will remember him as Colin), his life has been a genuine document of ups and downs, highs and lows, but all navigated with love, conviction and positivity. His story is moving, uplifting and at times incredibly unfair, but as you will hear - from all of this, pure goodness has been his reward. Over 30 years of his journey has been underpinned by long term partner Paul, who is unfortunately no longer with us but as you’ll hear, is spoken of by Michael with such love and compassion and it’s pretty much impossible to not be stirred by - well, the whole conversation, let’s be frank. He met Pip via the platform, and over the years has secured a beautiful bond which - to cut to the chase - has resulted in the two of them crafting a blueprint for a film! This film, 'Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty (A Long Short Film)' is now available to support on Kickstarter, with all information in the link and a bunch in the podcast itself. On the podcast, you'll hear more about the finer details of how the financial process will work, along with what the plan is for the film and all of that good stuff.
