This Minor League Nerd Shorts episode is about the short lived Jacksonville Beach Sea Birds who played in the Class D Florida State League from 1952 to 1954. The team's history actually has a connection to the Civil Rights Movement. 

They were covered in our old Throwback Thursday Cap of the Day series, but those was not uploaded as a podcast, making this is our second expanded and recut episode from that series.
