Listen Later

Surf's up, beach lovers! We've got a sizzling Sunday on tap for Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia coastlines. If you're planning to hit the waves, listen up because Mother Nature's serving up some prime beach conditions.

Today's looking like a stunner with sunny skies and surf heights running a solid 2 to 3 feet. Water temperatures are creeping into the lower 70s, making for some seriously comfortable swimming conditions. But here's the catch - we're sporting a moderate rip current risk, so beach-goers need to stay alert.

Wind patterns will start northwest at 5 to 10 mph, then shift to a northeast blow around 10 to 15 mph by afternoon. Sun worshippers take note: the UV index is blasting into very high territory, so slather on that sunscreen and grab your shades.

Tide schedules are looking consistent across our coastal hotspots. Jacksonville Beach sees high tide at 9:08 AM, while Fernandina Beach peaks at 9:56 AM. Our Georgia coastal friends can expect similar rhythms around St. Simons and Brunswick.

Moving into Monday, conditions mellow out with rip current risk dropping to low. Surf heights will settle around 2 feet, temperatures climbing into the lower 80s. Winds will transition from southwest to southeast, keeping things calm and pleasant.

Extended forecast shows continued sunny brilliance Tuesday through Thursday. Surf heights will hover between 1 to 3 feet, temperatures dancing in the 70s and 80s, with light winds keeping things comfortable.

Bottom line: It's a stellar beach weekend. Stay safe, watch those currents, and enjoy the incredible Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia coastline!
